Bookings/Cancellations Terms and Conditions –  Pippa Richardson Training

 

The following details my terms and conditions for booking training, consultancy and designing training and this forms my cancellation policy,

Certification and data protection.

1) Definitions

We/us/our/my relates to Pippa Richardson Training, HP15 7TB

You/your means the individual/company/organisation booking and paying for the training.

2) Bookings

Provisional bookings

Your booking will be held for 7 days once a provisional booking has been made by telephone or email.

 3) Confirmed bookings

Your booking is considered confirmed when an invoice has been issued.

 4) Certification

Certificates will be issued once full payment is received and cleared to those candidates who have completed and passed the course.

 5) Payments

Invoices will be issued via email.

All invoices are due within 30 days of the date shown on the invoice.

Any charges incurred by us due to funds not clearing will be charged back to you.

6) Cancellations

Our Cancellation Policy

In the unlikely event of a course being cancelled by us, we will look into transferring you to an alternative course being held with ourselves or provider. If there is no suitable alternative available we will issue you with a full refund of any monies paid to us directly. We are not liable for any other losses or expenses incurred.If the course has to be cancelled at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances, we will make contact with you via email or telephone via the contact details provided at the time of your booking.
Please note we will always endeavour to fulfil our obligations.

 7) Your cancellation

In the event of cancellation by you or members of your organisation, the full course fee is payable.

For bookings, where the course is cancelled with a minimum of 4 full weeks’ prior notice, no fee will be payable and any fee already paid will be refunded.

Where there is less than 4 weeks but more than 2 weeks’ prior notice, 50% of the fee will be payable/refundable.

Where there is less than 2 weeks’ notice 100% of the fee is payable and non-refundable.

8) Insurance

We hold professional liability and public liability insurance.

We cannot accept any liability whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to personal property while you are on a course, not caused by the negligence of our suppliers, our agents or employees.

 9) Assessment & Certification

Assessment is ongoing and will be carried out by your course trainer/s.

10) Monitoring & quality assurance

For quality assurance purposes we will monitor and record your performance throughout the course. This will include a syllabus check list and various assessment sheets. This information will be stored on file and used only for our own service improvement. No personal information will be disclosed. Course assessments will be shared with the manager/administrator booking the training from your organisation unless you state otherwise.

11) Data Protection

Your contact information will be held on file for internal record keeping only.

All personal information is held and used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and is not shared with any third party.

12) Responsibilities

We ask that you and/your course participants are aware of the following:

1.Manual Handling and First Aid is a practical and interactive subjects. Participants are normally expected to be physically able to kneel, twist and bend over simulated casualties, to sit on the floor, perform simulated CPR, roll, help roll and help lift simulated casualties.  If a participant is unable to participate due to injury or ill health, they must inform the trainer in advance or at the beginning of the session.

  1. For Manual Handling and First Aid please wear loose comfortable clothing, flat shoes such as trainers.

  2. Due to the nature of Health and Social Care Training, some participants may on occasion find some content distressing, the trainer will offer support if necessary. If there any issues for the participant, please ensure the trainer is made aware before or during the session to enable support to be offered to the participant.

  3. Prior, to the course/training please make your trainer aware of any medical problems or issues that may affect your ability to complete a course to complete the training (e.g. recent injury, learning disability, dyslexia,etc.). We will make all reasonable adjustments to account for this during our courses. We will not exclude anyone from our training but reserve the right to ensure all reasonable adjustments are in place to meet our statutory obligations. If you do not disclose information about yourself or your group at the time of booking, we reserve the right to cancel a course or your booking.

  1. You/your group members are responsible for maintaining acceptable levels of behaviour in a safe and reasonable manner. Unacceptable behaviour may lead to participants being asked to leave and you will be required to pay for any damage caused to the equipment or venue.

13) Health and Safety of venues

  1. Venues provided by you

1.1. It is your responsibility to ensure that a venue you provide for a booking is

suitable and safe. This should include:

  1. a) Fire escapes are clearly marked and adequately maintained and not obstructed

  2. b) Firefighting equipment is clearly and assembly point is clearly identifiable.

  3. c) Access to training rooms is clear and safe

  4. d) Training rooms are big enough for the group size and where First Aid is concerned that there is enough room to practice simulated activities.

  5. e) Heating, ventilation and lighting is adequate

  6. g) Washing and toilet facilities are adequate and appropriate for gender mix

  7. h) First aid and accident reporting procedures are in place

  8. i) Any other relevant matters coming to trainer’q2s attention

We retain the right to cancel a course if the venue is deemed unsafe by the tutor on the day

Venues provided by us: the same criteria as under 1.1. applies
